一、學科範圍

醫學工程學（Biomedical Engineering ）是醫學結合科技的一門年輕學科，以物理、數學與工程的觀念方法有規劃的去解決生命科學的問題，應用日新月異的技術於醫學上，以輔助診斷並提供臨床上數據分析。其研究範疇包括生醫材料（Bio-materials ）、生醫資訊（Bioinformatics ）、醫學電子（Medical Electronics ）、生物力學（Bio-Mechanics ）等，透過跨領域工程與臨床的整合，將基礎醫學研究應用到臨床診斷及治療，加強及充實各種疾病診斷、治療及預防之方法與技能。
